My husband and I currently live just outside of Manchester, New Hampshire. We owned a house in Haines City, FL that we’d been trying to sell for over two years, but to no avail. Hi BB - I agree that it is frustrating and at times depressing, but no clients are more grateful for our help than the folks who have been saved from foreclosure or other sure financial disasters by our helping them through a short sale. Very rewarding in other than cash.
It's all about the people in the end BB. You are helping many out there that need your skills and abilities.

Bryant - Rock on !!! We have had very similar stories recently with similar testimonials. I always say one more short sale is one less foreclosure ! Thanks for sharing these personal success stories. I often wonder why I inspect foreclosures. I have yet to find one in anything resembling reasonable condition.

I have been working for my short sale sellers for over 5 years now and the kind thank you notes, tears and hugs at the closing tables and clients telling me that they prayed for help and that they were convinced that I had been sent to them as an answer to their prayers more than make up for an additional work or reduced commission I may have to accept as a part of the type of career I have chosen. I sleep well at night knowing that I made a difference in my clients' lives.

Even though you greatly helped the sellers in these testimonials. I strongly suspect that the buyers of these same properties would also praise your professionalism and ability to get the deal done. You made a huge and positive impact on the lives of 2 families in each transaction!
Bryant, I think of short sales as a type of community service. Yes we're being paid, but often our commission has been reduced, and it is at least three times (maybe 10 times!) as arduous to get a short sale to closing than a normal sale. The more homes we can save from being abandoned, the better off our neighborhoods, local government, state government and economy will be.

Bryant Thanks for validating one of the most important reasons for doing short sales: to help people in distress.
In spite of the frustrations, etc...when we do close a short sale, there is such an overwhelming wave of relief and gratitude. And all the folks I've helped sell their homes as short sales also tell me that when they are back on their feet again, and are able to buy, they will come to me. And in the meantime, if someone they know is looking for a realtors, they said they will always refer me.
THAT is our reward.
